Jawoll, Borris ist mein erster Versuch, mit dem "Ratchet"-Tutorial von Puppet 101 Klappmaul-Puppen aus Schaumstoff zu bauen. Und für eine "Trial & Error"-Puppe finde ich Borris doch ziemlich gelungen. Ich habe viel gelernt, z.B. dass es kaum einen nicht wieder gut zu machenden Fehler beim Puppenbauen gibt - oder dass ich als nächstes dringend an meinen Nähfertigkeiten arbeiten muss.
In Kürze werde ich hier die Rubrik "Learn from my mistakes" starten. Da veröffentliche ich mal meine selbst entworfenen Schnittmuster für den Kopf und den Körper und mit denen könnt ihr dann rumexperimentieren und sie verbessern.

This is Borris. He´s my first try to build a moving-mouth-puppet from foam and fleece using the "Ratchet" tutorial by Puppet 101. As Borris is my trial&error-puppet I´m totally proud of him. I learned a lot, e.g. there is nearly no mistake in puppet building you can´t correct ... and I will have to improve my sewing ablities.
Next I´m going to start posts titled "Learn from my mistakes". I´m going to publish my own Borris-patterns for his head and his body and you can use and improve them.

hi tom, sieht gut aus! erinnert entfernt an einen der "quietsch-boys" aus "hallo spencer" (wie auch immer ich mich nach mindestens 25 jahren daran erinnere...). mein monsterprojekt schleift gerade etwas. wenn nichts dazwischen kommt, sehen wir uns übrigens ende april. ich bin gespannt... grüße, --mark
